A businessman in Utako, Federal Capital Territory, Mu’azu Hamza Yahaya, has called on politicians to stop decamping to other political parties and focus on providing the electorate with democratic dividends.
Yahaya said changing political party affiliation is not what the people want; what will benefit the constituents should be the main target of politicians.
Yahaya, who stated this during an interview in his office in Abuja, expressed his disappointment in politicians who are cross-carpeting.
Speaking on the election date proposed for November, Yahaya said the old dates earlier announced by INEC should be maintained.
He also called on the opposition parties to remain united, adding that only unity would help them defeat the ruling party.
Yahaya, who expressed displeasure over the pardons granted to some convicted inmates, added that the President ought not to have forgiven hardened criminals.
