The ministry made this known in Abuja on Thursday via a statement signed by Badamasi S. Haiba, the ministry’s director of press and public relations.

The ministry approved the selling prices for a one-bedroom semi-detached bungalow at N8.5 million. In contrast, a two-bedroom semi-detached bungalow costs N11.5 million, and a three-bedroom semi-detached bungalow costs  N12.5 million.

The federal government said the uniform selling prices were adopted to promote affordability, transparency, and fairness. It added that it would help ensure that Nigerians across all regions have equal opportunities to benefit from the Renewed Hope Housing Programme.

It further announced that the sale of the completed housing units across the northern and southern regions would soon commence.

It says applications can be made through the Renewed Hope Housing online portal at www.renewedhopehomes.fmhud.gov.ng, or obtained from the Ministry’s headquarters and field offices nationwide.

Recall that the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa had earlier stated that priority in the allocation of housing units would be given to low—and middle-income earners, civil servants at all levels of government, employees in the organised private sector with verifiable sources of income, and Nigerians in the Diaspora who wish to own homes in the country.

The permanent secretary of the ministry, Dr Shuaib Belgore, also recently explained that several payment options have been provided to make the houses affordable and flexible. He said they include outright (full) payment, mortgage, rent-to-own scheme, and instalment payment plans.
