The President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Comrade Isaiah Benjamin, has applauded state chapters of the association across the country for their successful Jumat and church services held in preparation for the organisation’s Diamond Jubilee and 60th Anniversary celebration.
In a statement signed by the chairman of the media and publicity committee, Chimezie Anaso, and the Secretary, Hembadoon Orsar, the President expressed his delight at the unity demonstrated by the chapters as they gathered to pray and seek God’s guidance for the forthcoming jubilee.
Comrade Benjamin emphasised that the association’s commitment to spiritual growth and development was evident in the timely and successful organisation of the Jumat and church services aimed at ensuring the success of the anniversary. He commended the chapters for their dedication and hard work, stating that their efforts had not gone unnoticed.
The SWAN President also took the opportunity to encourage the chapters to continue working together in unity and peace, noting that the strength of the association lies in its diversity and commitment to excellence.
H urged both the National and State Executive Committees to remain focused and dedicated to the association’s goals, assuring them that their efforts would yield positive results.
“I would like to express, on behalf of the national officials, our gratitude to the spiritual leaders who have supported the association’s endeavours. Their prayers and guidance have been instrumental in our success,” he said.
“We also thank all members of the association for their cooperation and support; your collective efforts have made the Jumat and church services a tremendous success.”
