U-Meleni Mhlaba-Adebo, the event ambassador for the 10th edition of the annual Lagos Women Run, has emphasised the numerous benefits couples can gain from running or walking together. Reflecting on her experience from the previous year’s race, she highlighted the event as an excellent opportunity to gain further insight into Lagos State while also enhancing her own relationship through running.

The Zimbabwean-American runner, who has participated in various road races worldwide, expressed her excitement about being part of the Lagos Women Run in 2024 alongside her husband, a Nigerian of Yoruba descent.

Speaking at a press conference to promote the upcoming race, Mhlaba-Adebo urged women to join her on November 5 for a symposium aimed at empowering women. During the session, she will explore the impact of running on relationships.
