A Port Harcourt-based real estate investor, My-Ace China, popularly know as ‘Mayor of Housing’, has promised to continue to provide more opportunities for African youths to grow.
China disclosed this yesterday in his office in Port Harcourt while receiving the Mandela Africa Leadership Award, which was conferred on him by the Organization of African Youth (OAY).
“What I admire most about Nelson Mandela is that he is a legend of possibility through persistence and patience. I am a big admirer of quotes and one of my favorite quotes from him is; ‘It is impossible until it is done’.
“For him to keep believing he saw a free South Africa after 27 years in prison is something that makes me know that persistence and patience rings in my mind when I face situations,” he said.
China stated that the recognition could have been because of his outstanding contributions to societal development and his relentless efforts to combat poverty through execution of aggressive high-end housing scheme in the Niger Delta which in turn churn out jobs to the youth.
Earlier in his remarks, leader of the OAY delegation, Francis Azubuike commended the real estate investor’s remarkable achievements in addressing housing challenges in the Niger Delta region.
Azubuike said: “We have seen your unwavering commitment to providing legitimate housing in Rivers State.”
