Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sokoto has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the public presentation and official launch of three new books by Dr Reuben Abati, a renowned journalist and former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Goodluck Jonathan.

The notable cleric and advocate for an inclusive Nigerian democratic and economic society will speak on the topic “Nigeria: Time to Re-Load.”

The three books to be presented are: “Portraits: People, Politics and Society, A Love Letter and Other Stories, and How Goodluck Jonathan Became President.”

The event, which also marks Dr Abati’s 60th birthday, will serve as both a literary and intellectual celebration, offering an opportunity to reflect on the life and contributions of a media icon who has remained steadfast in his commitment to national development.

The public presentation promises to draw an impressive gathering of dignitaries, journalists, academics, and members of the public, all eager to celebrate Dr Abati’s exceptional career in journalism, politics, and public discourse.

The event details indicate that it will be held at 10:00 am prompt on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos.

Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah, who will deliver the keynote address, is a man deeply respected for his intellectual depth, moral courage, and consistent advocacy for good governance and national cohesion.
