Responding to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Campaign Council statement that Peter Obi, presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) is a regional candidate, chief spokesman for LP PPC campaign spokesman, Dr Tanko Yunusa, said, “Obi is Pan-Nigerian candidate; unlike Atiku who is the proverbial bat without base. Obi is today the darling of Nigerian youths nationwide, has strong supporters in all geopolitical zones – north, west and east.”

Tanko added, “The Nigerian patriots I know will surely reward Obi with votes for transforming the imagination of our youths from despair, despondency and hopelessness to a hopeful and prosperous country.”

It could be recalled that the spokesman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Dino Meleya dubbed Obi a regional candidate, saying that there is no regional champion that has ever been president in this country.

He thanked Meleya for acknowledging Obi’s character, competence and strong health.

Tanko appealed to PDP Campaign Council to leave Obi alone and face APC, their partners in a foul language campaign.
