In a statement signed by the Interim State Executive Committee and made available to newsmen on Sunday, the party’s leader, Hon. Ernest Njesi, praised the INEC chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, and his team for what he called a remarkable improvement in the nation’s electoral process.

“We commend the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Joash Amupitan, SAN, and his officials for the successful conduct of the Anambra State off-season governorship election,” the statement read.

“We particularly appreciate the timely deployment of both sensitive and non-sensitive materials, as well as the almost 100% real-time upload of election results to the IReV. This demonstrates a significant improvement in INEC’s commitment to free, fair, credible, and transparent elections in our country.”

Njesi noted that the outcome of the Anambra poll reflects a positive shift in Nigeria’s democratic journey and underscores the Commission’s renewed dedication to strengthening the electoral process.

“This positive shift is a testament to the Commission’s dedication to strengthening our democratic process,” he added.
