The Church of Christ Ministers has solicited the assistance of Abia State government to acquire land for their conference facility and an evangelism bus for missionary outreach.
National president of the ministers, Oji O. Oji stated this when he led the national and state executive of the ministers on a visit to the governor, Dr Alex Otti in Umuahia, the state capital.
He described the Otti administration as a model of good governance in the country in infrastructure development, improved power supply, standard of education, healthcare delivery and security.
Speaking, the governor noted that the ongoing transformation in the state in less than three years in office are reflections of God’s plan and purpose for the state.
The governor said they are not just the product of strategic planning and disciplined governance, but also the result of the sustained prayers and intercessions of the church community.
Represented by his chief of staff, Caleb Ajagba, he further said his administration is committed to partnering faith-based organisations to strengthen and ensure a better society.
‎The state chief executive described the church as a household name known for its unwavering commitment to spreading the gospel of Christ and raising a generation grounded in righteousness.
‎‎‎He, therefore, assured that the administration would continue to support and provide an enabling environment for the church to carry out its spiritual and social responsibilities.
