Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa, has marked its 20th anniversary, reflecting on academic service and institutional growth.
Speaking on the anniversary in a press statement, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Kuje Ayuba, reviewed the university’s journey, noting the expansion of academic programmes and infrastructure since its founding.
“Over the years, Bingham University has grown from a modest beginning to a comprehensive institution with 15 faculties, 51 departments, and more than 104 academic programmes.
“Our goal has remained to nurture graduates who combine knowledge with character and moral integrity,” he said.
The Vice-Chancellor also disclosed that the National Universities Commission (NUC) recently approved 24 additional programmes for the university, comprising six undergraduate and 18 postgraduate courses.
He described the approval as a testament to the university’s capacity and preparedness to meet national and global educational standards.
