The assessment, carried out by the Ministry for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Humanitarian Services (RRR), aims to evaluate the extent of destruction and provide appropriate support to affected communities.

Leading the exercise, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Pharmacist Amos Enoch Piribu, visited Waduku and Rugange Wards, where significant damage to homes, farmlands, and community infrastructure was recorded.

Pharmacist Piribu reaffirmed Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s commitment to assisting affected residents and rebuilding their livelihoods. He noted that the assessment would guide fair and effective distribution of relief materials and rehabilitation support.

He also urged residents to remain peaceful and united, emphasizing that lasting peace is vital for sustainable development.

Community leaders in Waduku and Rugange thanked the state government for the prompt intervention, describing the visit as a demonstration of the administration’s empathy and concern for citizens’ welfare.
