Pro-chancellor and chairman of governing council of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuorlumeni, Port Harcourt, has won a chair of the International World Public Policy Association, a global professional body for public policy scholars and experts.
Igwe’s emergence followed the selection of his scholarly paper with the theme “National Legacies and Global Policies Adoption,” beating other submissions in the Comparative Public Policy category globally, and he will be leading the pack in the workshop and global discussion at the International World Public Policy Conference, billed to hold in Ottawa, Canada, in 2026.
This was contained in a letter by Secretary General of International World Public Policy Association Phillipe Zittoun, a copy of which was made available to LEADERSHIP in Port Harcourt.
It reads: “For this year’s call for workshop, we received 79 proposals, making the selection process particularly competitive, we are pleased to inform you that after a careful review, by the International Scientific Committee, your proposal has been accepted and you are the Chair of this session on Comparative Public Policy”.
A former member of the House of Representatives, Igwe has authored over 70 peer-reviewed articles published in high-impact international and local journals, and holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Policy and Administration.
He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, Institute of Strategic Management, and Institute of Management Consultancy, a Registered Practitioner in Advertising, Member, International Bar Association, International Academy of Television Arts and Science,
Nigeria Bar Association, among other professional affiliations.
