All Progressives Congress Destined For Greatness – Lawmaker

The member representing Ukwa East/Ukwa West federal constituency at the National Assembly, Chris Nkwonta, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) is destined for greatness.

Nkwonta make the assertion, yesterday, after he officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC in Umuahia, the Abia State capital.

The House of Representatives Committee chairman on South East Development Commission called for unity among members of the state chapter of the APC ahead of the 2027 general election.

“We must strengthen our structures, energise our supporters, and build bridges across communities. We must reassure our people that APC stands for development, inclusion, and progress.

“We must also work together, honestly, respectfully, and purposefully to build a party that reflects the hopes and aspirations of every Abian,” according to the first term legislator.

Explaining that since he defected to the APC, he had been sending the message of change across the constituency, he noted that he is confident that the future is bright for the state.
“With unity of purpose, dedication to service and strong alignment with the national leadership of our great party, our state will take its rightful place in the transformation of the country.”
Speaking after welcoming him to the APC, the chapter chairman, Dr Kingsley Ononogbu assured him of a level playing field and equal opportunities, describing him as a great asset to the party.
Ononogbu, who also handed him a bunch of broom, which is the symbol of the APC stressed that all hands must be on deck to ensure the party’s “landslide victory in 2027”.

Earlier, while handing Nkwonta over to the chairman, Abia South zonal chairman of the APC, Justice Onwumelu said he had been fully registered from the ward.
