Anambra State-born industrialist and chairman of NEROS Pharmaceuticals, Prof. Poly I. Emenike, has unveiled seven books to mark his 70th birthday, further expanding his contributions to entrepreneurship, community development and intellectual discourse.
The launch, held in Lagos over the weekend, adds to his growing catalogue spanning psychology, business, philosophy, personal development and Igbo socio-economic history. With the new works, Emenike has authored 21 books.
According to information released by his media consultant, Dr Kingsley Onuzulike, each of the seven titles reflects aspects of Emenike’s academic, entrepreneurial and philanthropic journey.
One of the books, “Nanka Tigers and Tigresses of Development”, documents the history of philanthropy in Nanka, his hometown in Orumba North local government area of Anambra State.
Another title, “How to Be a Polymath”, outlines principles for developing multi-disciplinary competence, drawing from his background in entrepreneurial psychology.
His book, “One Month Out of Social Media” examines the impact of digital distraction on productivity, while “Igbo Apprenticeship” (Nwaboi) System assesses the prospects of the traditional commerce model in a rapidly changing global economy.
Other titles are “Entrepreneurial and Professional Succession Grooming”, “Wealth and Success Through the Law of Attraction” and “Swimming Pool Approach to Achieving Your Goals”.
Emenike, who completed secondary school at 32 due to disruptions caused by the Nigeria–Biafra Civil War, earned his bachelor’s degree at 41, master’s at 43, PhD at 59 and professorship at 66. He has also attended executive programmes at the Lagos Business School and Harvard Business School.
He is the first non-American to receive the Napoleon Hill Foundation Gold Medal Award and currently serves on the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
