The University of Maidugiri (UNIMAID), Alumni Forum, Abuja chapter has called on all who graduated from the school and reside in Abuja to identify with the alumni, unite ànd make impact on the school and students.
The president, UNIMAID Alumni Forum Abuja chapter, Shettima Kukawa, made the call during the forum’s 2025 quarterly walkout and networking in Abuja yesterday with the theme: “Re-Awakening 2.0”
Kukawa said there was need for them to come together, unite and make impact in the school and students.
“We’re trying to bring our people together. It’s only when you achieve that that you’re able to make the necessary impact on the people, the university, and the students.
“Most of them who graduated from UNIMAID that are in this town have never met. This is what we do as part of our programmes to bring our members together,” he said.
“The university recently celebrated 50 years of its existence and we have challenges and issues with the alumni association. One is largely the lack of participation by members.
“And that is what we’re trying to do, create awareness about why this is important. And then let’s all come together as an alumni association that we can be able to benefit ourselves and the university at large.” he added.
