National Chairman of the Accord Party, Barrister Maxwell Mgbudem, has declared that the party has entered a new era of stability, cohesion, and rising national influence, insisting that Accord remains the most united political organisation in Nigeria today, without any faction.
Speaking during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, Mgbudem expressed profound gratitude to party leaders for the confidence vested in him and the National Working Committee (NWC) at the July 2024 National Convention. He said the leadership has since worked with “unwavering intentionality” to reposition Accord into a formidable political force ahead of upcoming national elections.
“Accord has no faction anywhere, neither at the national nor at the state levels. We remain one united, indivisible family, firmly guided by our ideology of Oneness and Progress,” Mgbudem declared.
The chairman highlighted sweeping reforms that have revived party structures, mobilised grassroots supporters, and expanded Accord’s national footprint.
He noted that high-level consultations and strategic political engagements are attracting credible, visionary and patriotic Nigerians into the fold.
Mgbudem also celebrated recent judicial victories, which he said reinforced the legitimacy of the party’s leadership and internal processes. He dismissed those behind protracted litigations as “political jobbers seeking relevance through mischief,” stressing that Accord would remain focused on nation-building.
On electoral readiness, the chairman expressed strong confidence in the party’s candidate for the AMAC Chairmanship in the 2026 FCT polls, praising his “admirable capacity, robust grassroots mobilisation, and rising influence.”
He also urged members to prepare vigorously for the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections, and ultimately, the 2027 general election.
Issuing a firm warning against acts that threaten the party’s cohesion, Mgbudem said discipline remains a non-negotiable value: “Accord will not tolerate any individual whose actions or utterances seek to undermine the harmony, stability, and unity of the party.”
He described the NEC meeting as a celebration of resilience, unity, and renewed hope, charging members to approach deliberations with shared commitment and open minds. According to him, “Victory is not only possible — it is inevitable,” if Accord remains united and focused.
