President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Senate President Godswill Akpabio on his 63rd birthday, describing him as a patriot and dedicated servant of the people whose commitment to building a better Nigeria has remained unwavering.

In a statement personally signed by him on Tuesday, President Tinubu rejoices with Senator Akpabio and joins his family, friends, associates and members of the National Assembly to celebrate the President of the Senate and his decades of exceptional leadership.

The President recalled Akpabio’s years as governor of Akwa Ibom State, noting that he was fondly called the “uncommon governor” by his people and led what he described as a remarkable transformation of the state.

According to the statement, Akpabio made Akwa Ibom State a top competitor in the national economy, provided infrastructure and built one of the most iconic stadia in the country, which the President said remains one of Nigeria’s best today.
