The Project START Tech Kids Programme has empowered 6,000 children across Nigeria with digital and entrepreneurial skills at its 2025 edition held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Abuja.

The event, hosted physically and virtually, followed the recent launch of the organisation’s dedicated tech hub for children in the FCT.

The programme, designed for young participants between the ages of 9 and 19, offered intensive training in Coding, Robotics, Content Creation, Artificial Intelligence, Animation, Fashion Tech, Health Tech and Entrepreneurship.

Convener of Project START, Martha Tawiyah, said the initiative powered by Mumsbooth Africa and Project START Academy and themed “Building Future Innovators” was created to expose children early to the tech ecosystem and equip them with the skills needed for future career paths.

“We partnered with several like-minded organisations to make this programme a reality,” she said.

Tawiyah disclosed that 20 outstanding participants received full scholarships for further training. They will also benefit from internship and mentorship opportunities within the organisation to prepare them for future job placements.

She added that both the children and their parents expressed gratitude for the programme, noting its impact on developing young innovators.

Tawiyah reaffirmed her commitment to nurturing young tech talents, highlighting the importance of introducing children early to technology and entrepreneurship. She also unveiled her new book, “Entrepreneurship Course for Kids and Young Adults,” which she described as a practical guide for young learners aspiring to build skills for the future.
