The Orokam Development Forum (Okam) in Abuja has earmarked N60 million for the rehabilitation of St. Joseph’s Primary School, Orokam in Ogbadibo local government area of Benue State, and the revitalisation of the forum’s Mutual Health Assurance Scheme.
This was made known at the Okam Forum annual awards and gala night in Abuja where over N60 million was raised for the education and health projects.
Speaking at the event, chairman of the forum, Emmanuel Ameh, said the event was designed to strengthen partnerships with individuals and institutions committed to philanthropy and community upliftment.
He said the forum also recognised persons whose contributions advanced Orokam community and national development.
Ameh highlighted the forum’s remarkable growth from 11 founding members in 2001 to about 80 respected professionals, including business leaders, academics and senior public servants.
