Kebbi Governor Signs N642.9bn 2026 Budget

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has assented to the N642.9 billion 2026 budget.

The amount was presented to him on Tuesday by the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon Mohammed Usman Zuru at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi .

Hon Zuru told the governor that the budget, which he early presented at the Assembly, was passed into law by the House after the presentation of the report by the Joint committee on Finance and Appropriation and that of Budget Monitoring, Economic Planning and Due Process of the Assembly, chaired by Adamu Muhammad Birnin Yauri.

He added that, the recurrent revenue stands at N163.57 billion, representing 25 per cent of the proposed budget, while the capital revenue stands at  N479.35 billion representing 75 per cent of the proposed budget.

The governor while thanking the Assembly members for the smooth and quickest scrutiny of the appropriation bill and pass it into law however assented it.
