Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has commended President Bola Tinubu for nominating Engr. Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as the Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
The Governor, while reacting to the nomination, described the appointment of Gombe State-born Mohammed as well-considered, noting that it reflects the President’s resolve to entrust key national institutions to professionals with proven competence, experience and integrity.
According to a statement by his media aide, Isma’ila Uba Misilli, the governor described Engr. Mohammed is an energy professional whose career in the oil and gas industry has been defined by depth, discipline and excellent results.
He noted that Mohammed brings approximately 40 years of experience in the sector, with particular strengths in natural gas development, commercialisation, and infrastructure delivery.
The governor further expressed confidence that the nominee’s calm leadership, industry knowledge and broad experience will strengthen the NMDPRA and support the effective implementation of Tinubu’s reform agenda in the midstream and downstream petroleum sectors.
He thanked the president for the confidence reposed in a worthy son of Gombe State. He wished Mohammed success as he takes on the crucial national responsibility in service to the nation.
