Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the nomination of son of Gombe State, Engr. Saidu Aliyu Mohammed, as the chief executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
The governor, while reacting to the development, described it as well-considered, noting that it reflects the President’s resolve to entrust key national institutions to professionals with proven competence, experience and integrity.
This is contained in press statement by his media aide, Isma’ila Uba Misilli, where the governor described Engr. Mohammed as an energy professional, whose career in the oil and gas industry has been defined by depth, discipline and excellent results.
He noted that Engr. Mohammed brings about 40 years of experience in the sector, with particular strength in natural gas development, commercialization and infrastructure delivery.
The governor expressed confidence that Engr. Mohammed’s calm leadership, industry knowledge and broad experience will strengthen the NMDPRA and support the effective implementation of President’s reforms agenda in the midstream and downstream petroleum sectors.
He thanked President Tinubu for the confidence reposed in a worthy son of Gombe State and wished Engr. Mohammed success as he takes on the important national responsibility in service to the country.
