Lobi Stars have announced the acquisition of two new players as they prepare for the second round of the Nigeria National League (NNL) season. The Makurdi-based club has secured the services of Johnathan John Abu and Bello Raji Egigogo, aiming to strengthen their squad for a promotion push.
Raji, a defender, joins Lobi Stars from Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Niger Tornadoes, signing a one-year contract. Abu, a forward, has also committed to the club on a short-term deal, bringing additional attacking options.
Both new recruits have expressed their strong commitment to helping Lobi Stars achieve their primary objective of gaining promotion to the NPFL. Currently, Lobi Stars occupy fourth position in the Conference C table with 10 points. Their next challenge will see them lock horns with Sokoto United when the second stanza of the season officially commences in January, a match where the new signings will be keen to make an immediate impact.
