The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has taken delivery of 166 chiller fridges for distribution to retailers of Zeva premium beer, Oyi Bitters and other beverages produced by Food Basket Brewery, Makurdi.

Our correspondent gathered that the consignment, which arrived in the state over the weekend, comprises industrial chiller fridges and large quantities of glass bottles intended for use at the brewery.

It was gathered that the delivery is part of BIPC’s ongoing expansion drive aimed at boosting efficiency and meeting growing market demand.

The group managing director of BIPC, Dr Raymond Asemakaha, who took delivery of the consignment, said it marked another milestone in the company’s efforts to reduce supply gaps in its production chain.

“The arrival of these containers is a clear indication of our commitment to scaling up production and ensuring that our products are readily available in the market,” he said.

According to the GMD, an additional 14 containers containing similar equipment and materials are expected to arrive in the coming weeks.

He added that the new equipment will help the company meet the increasing demand for its products and improve its overall production capacity.

“The arrival of the chiller fridges and glass bottles is expected to enhance the distribution network of Food Basket Brewery, enabling retailers to stock and sell Zeva premium beer, Oyi Bitters and other beverages more efficiently.

“BIPC’s expansion drive is also expected to have a positive impact on the local economy, creating jobs and stimulating growth in the beverage industry,” he said.

The GMD said the company’s commitment to investing in the state’s infrastructure and industry is a welcome development for the people of Benue.
