A former national chairman of Alliance National Party (ANP), Asiwaju Mashood Shittu, has said the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is the best option for the country in next year’s presidential election.

He stated this yesterday in Abuja when he was addressing some national support groups and youth organisations in the NNPP.

He described Kwankwaso as a competent, detribalised and dedicated leader that the country needs at this crucial time in its history.

Shittu urged the group to  embark on vigorous mobilisation and  campaigns across the country in order to tell Nigerians what  Kwankwaso stands for, noting that  Nigerians were overwhelmed by the numerous problems and challenges confronting the country.

The former chairman, who noted that among all the candidates only Kwankwaso has what it takes to move the country forward and that the rest lack the solutions to the problems of the country, said only the NNPP remained the party to tackle the numerous challenges facing the country.

He added; “Everyone will agree with me that the country is facing a serious challenges of high magnitude under the present administration.

“We need to come up with the best among the the candidates, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has been tested, he his a man with a vital experience and well positioned to reposition the country.

“We must leave out sentiment and go for the best if we truly love our country. It’s on this basis we collapsed  our party ANP in order to work for NNPP to save the the country from total collapse. I appeal to you all that let’s support, mobilize and canvas for Sen. Kwankwaso for next year Presidential election.”

The former chairman said the only way out for the country is to vote a candidate with competence who could make Nigeria work, provide security and end the insecurity menace in the country.

He said the level of poverty and hunger in the country was alarming and Kwankwaso has the prerequisites to deliver and reposition the country.
