Yakasai Bags Honorary Doctorate For Nation Building

Veteran statesman and renowned public administrator, Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, has been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration by Capital City University, Kano.

The Honorary Degree was given in recognition of his decades-long contribution to nation building, democratic governance and community leadership.

The honour, approved by the University’s Senate and Governing Council after a careful review of his distinguished record of service in public administration, national politics and the promotion of unity and stability in Nigeria.

Presenting the award, the University described Alhaji Yakasai as a symbol of remarkable longevity, enduring wisdom and sustained commitment to public service.

It noted that his influence has spanned several generations of political and civic development in the country.

In his acceptance speech,  Yakasai  expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for His mercy and guidance throughout his life and career.

He also commended the University for its commitment to education, character development and the grooming of future leaders, describing higher institutions as critical pillars in Nigeria’s quest for sustainable development and good governance.

“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Governing Council, Management, Senate, and the entire academic community of Capital City University, Kano, for bestowing upon me this prestigious Honorary Doctorate Degree.

“I humbly accept this honour, recognising it as a testament to a lifetime of service and dedication to society,” he said
