Gov Inuwa Yahaya Lauded On Honorary Doctorate Award

Deputy national financial secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo, has congratulated the governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, on his conferment with an Honorary Doctorate (Honoris Causa) by Lincoln University College, Malaysia.

In a congratulatory message, Kumo described the academic honour as a well-deserved recognition of Governor Yahaya’s purposeful leadership, commitment to good governance and impactful development strides in Gombe State.

He said the governor’s administration has distinguished itself through reforms that have strengthened institutions, improved infrastructure, and enhanced service delivery across key sectors of the state’s economy. According to him, the recognition by an international academic institution further affirms that Governor Yahaya’s leadership style and development approach are gaining attention beyond Nigeria’s borders.

Kumo particularly commended the governor’s efforts in modernising Gombe, which he said have boosted investor confidence and contributed to the state’s economic growth. He added that the Governor’s initiatives have placed Gombe on a progressive path toward sustainable development.

The APC chieftain also praised the governor’s investments in road infrastructure, education, housing, and healthcare, stating that the administration’s policies continue to deliver tangible benefits to the state’s people.

“This honorary doctorate is not just a personal achievement for His Excellency, but a proud moment for the people of Gombe State and the APC family,” Kumo said, expressing confidence that the governor would continue to justify the trust reposed in him through people-oriented policies and inclusive governance.

He prayed for greater wisdom and strength for Governor Yahaya as he continues to steer the affairs of the state toward peace, prosperity, and sustainable growth.
