Nollywood actress, Faithia Williams-Balogun, has announced the passing of her mother, disclosing that the tragic loss was kept from her until after her 55th birthday celebration.

The actress made the revelation in an emotional Instagram post on Monday, stating that her mother died on the eve of the star-studded birthday event celebrated on Thursday, February 5. She explained that she was unaware of the heartbreaking development at the time.

“Unbeknownst to me, my beloved mother died on the eve of my party and the news was cruelly kept away from me,” she wrote.

Faithia paid tribute to her late mother, describing her as her “cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner.” She added that she was still struggling to come to terms with the loss.

Leaning on her faith for strength, the actress noted that the Williams family has decided to maintain privacy for the moment while appealing for prayers and support from well-wishers.
