Member representing Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa federal constituency in Katsina State, Engr Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki, has commended Governor Dikko Umar Radda for prioritising security and infrastructure development in the state.

Speaking at Sabuwa, where he distributed farm implements to farmers as part of measures to boost farming and economic activities in the constituency, Tafoki said that, despite recurring security challenges, Governor Radda had remained steadfast and fully committed to developing every corner of Katsina.

“In Katsina, we are fortunate to have a governor who is very passionate about tackling security challenges and has remained committed to developing infrastructure across the state to promote economic growth. We are proud to learn from such a dedicated leader,” he said.

Tafoki stated that his decision to supply farm implements, including two trucks of fertilisers and 255 sprayers, along with some herbicides, was motivated by the need to support farmers.

He observed that residents of the Faskari/Kankara/Federal constituency are predominantly farmers who need full support in their efforts to attain sustainable food security adding ‘that is why we have been providing supports in our own way”

The lawmaker, who officially marked two years of his resumption at the national assembly on 8 February, said that in the last two years he sponsored five bills and moved several motions addressing the critical needs of his people.

He listed some of his constituency intervention projects, including the installation of solar street lights in various communities, the supply of transformers, and medical outreach for his constituents.

Reacting to the lawmaker’s gesture, a community leader said that over the past two years, Hon Tafoki has attracted numerous projects to the constituency, and lauded his efforts for the bills seeking to establish two higher institutions.

He has also built classrooms, rehabilitation irrigation dams, and sunk boreholes. Of course, these are in addition to providing employment for over many unemployed youths and awarding scholarships to the less privileged.
