The chief of staff, Aquarian Consult Limited, Serumum Ubwa, has said the Aquarian Consult Afri-Caribbean Investment Summit 2026 will unlock a combined $40 trillion market spanning Africa, the Caribbean and the Americas.

Ubwa spoke at a press conference in Abuja yesterday.

She said the week-long summit would be held from March 23 to March 28, 2026, with dedicated sector-focused engagements.

According to her, the Agriculture and Food Security Summit will take place on March 23 and 24.

“AACIS’26 is the collaborative engine where visionaries and capital converge to co-create a resilient, prosperous, and united future. We are no longer waiting for the world; we are building our own alliances.”

The summit is expected to attract over 2,000 participants, including former Heads of Government, regional investment promotion agencies, multilateral institutions, sovereign wealth funds, and leading private-sector actors.

She added that the main Afri-Caribbean Investment Summit would run from March 25 to March 28, while the Africarian Health Summit is scheduled for March 26.

Ubwa said Nigeria and Caribbean countries are strategically positioned to benefit from expanded access to markets across North, Central and South America.

“Participants will gain direct access to new and expanding markets

“The event is expected to unlock a combined market valued at about $40tn across Africa, the Caribbean, and North, Central and South America.

“Nigeria and the Caribbean are strategically positioned within these regions,” he said.

This positioning creates fresh opportunities for Nigerian and Caribbean businesses to access and compete across these markets.

She noted that the summit would feature structured business-to-business and business-to-government matchmaking sessions to fast-track cross-border deals and joint ventures.

Ubwa said key sectors to be covered include agriculture and food security, healthcare and pharmaceutical innovation, renewable energy and the creative economy.

She added that tourism, energy investments and digital technology would also form part of the discussions.

The Aquarian Consult chief of staff said an expanded investor deal room would host Investment Promotion Agencies from Africa and the Caribbean to showcase opportunities in their countries.

She said the summit is expected to attract more than 2,000 participants, including current and former heads of government, multilateral institutions, sovereign wealth funds, and private-sector leaders.

Ubwa described the summit as a bold move to strengthen South-South cooperation and build long-term transatlantic partnerships.

She said organisers recorded major gains from the 2025 edition, including securing about $14bn in support deals.

Ubwa added that the 2026 summit would build on last year’s momentum by converting dialogue into concrete investment outcomes.

Additionally, AIS 26 will feature well-structured B2B and B2G matchmaking sessions designed to fast-track cross-border transactions and joint ventures.

The event will also host high-impact sector engagements to deliver measurable outcomes.

There will be direct involvement in project structuring across agriculture and food security, healthcare and pharmaceutical innovation, renewable energy, and the creative economy. Other focus areas include tourism, energy investments and digital technology.
