The Benue State Police Commissioner, Emenari Ifeanyi Innocent, has decorated 456 newly promoted inspectors of the command with their new rank.

The decoration ceremony, held at the Command Headquarters, Makurdi, was attended by senior officers, families, friends, and well-wishers who gathered to witness and celebrate the elevation of the deserving officers.

In a statement issued by the Benue State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Udeme Edet, the command said the CP  while congratulating the newly promoted officers, expressed gratitude to God, the Police Service Commission and the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun for the promotion.

He urged them to see their new rank as a call to greater responsibility, leadership, integrity, and service to the people of Benue State and Nigeria at large.

CP Ifeanyi emphasised that promotion comes with higher expectations in discipline, operational efficiency, community engagement, and respect for human rights.
