A political association in Bauchi State has expressed confidence that the emergence of Bala Wunti as the next governor will fast-track the actualisation of oil and gas exploration in the state.

The chairman of Bala Wunti G11 Organisation, Alhaji Hassan Abubakar, stated this yesterday when he led members of the group on a courtesy visit to the Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO).

According to him, Wunti, being part of the team that initiated the oil and gas prospecting efforts in Bauchi, remains the most qualified aspirant to drive the process to completion.

Hassan stated that beyond his professional contributions, Wunti has invested heavily in human capital development over the years. He noted that the aspirant has undertaken several personal interventions in education and healthcare support for the less privileged, as well as programmes aimed at rehabilitating and empowering youths for self-reliance.

He therefore assured the group’s full support for Dr. Wunti, describing him as the best suited for inclusive governance and sustainable development in Bauchi State.

As part of their contribution, the G11 chairman presented clothing materials to BWSO for distribution to 8,000 male and female orphans across the state.

In addition, Alhaji Abubakar Danyaya donated a branded 2023 Toyota Prado Jeep to support campaign activities for Dr. Bala Maijama’s Wunti project.

Speaking during the visit, the chief coordinating officer of BWSO, Alhaji Sha’abdin Danladi, explained that the organisation was established to bring together groups and individuals who share similar values and aspirations for Bauchi State.

He identified key areas of collaboration between BWSO and partner organisations to include youth leadership development, mentorship, and succession planning in the overall interest of the state.

Danladi emphasised that the composition of BWSO reflects its strong commitment to youth inclusion in governance and leadership. He further stated that Bala Wunti has developed a comprehensive blueprint aimed at transforming Bauchi State across critical sectors.

He expressed optimism that Dr. Wunti would work towards securing Bauch’s inclusion among oil and gas producing states in Nigeria.

Also speaking, the chief executive officer of BWSO, Arch. Muktar Jarmajo, commended the G11 for its material contributions and support to the Dr. Bala Wunti project. He described their gesture as a demonstration of genuine commitment to the development of Bauchi State.

Jarmajo noted that working with BWSO and supporting Dr. Bala Wunti’s vision ultimately translates into service for the collective progress and prosperity of Bauchi State.
