They National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has said nobody or group should bother again to buy nomination forms for President Bola Tinubu to seek the party’s ticket for the 2027 general election.

Yilwatda stated this while receiving a cheque of N100 million for the purchase of nomination forms for Tinubu from Kogi Youths led by Governor Usman Ododo at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Monday.

LEADERSHIP reports that a group known as Northern Nigeria Youth Leaders Forum (NNYLF), had announced the donation of N200 million for the purchase of APC nomination forms for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

However checks revealed that the group had yet credited paid the money weeks after the presentation of a dummy cheque.

Yilwatda disclosed that the Ododo-led group had already credited the party’s account with the N100 million for the Tinubu nomination forms and thank them for their show of solidarity with the president.

“We have both the cash in our accounts and we have also the dummy. It’s not a voice note. These are the drafts of the N100 million that is connected to this dummy. This is the real cash. This is not a promissory note? This is a commitment.

“This is cash they have given to the party for Mr President. This is the second group of people coming in to make a commitment. The first group made a commitment but they have not paid but these people, they didn’t even make a commitment.
They came with both the cash and the commitment at the same time. So we thank the youth from Kogi.

“With this payment, henceforth, I want to make an announcement that nobody should bother to bring money to buy a form for Mr President again. Because the form has been procured in advance. And I want to thank you for this procurement.

“So this includes any other person that wants to make any payment to our account to procure a form from Mr President because Kogi youths have done the needful.

Presenting the cheque, Governor Ododo said the gesture from Kogi youths was in appreciation of President Tinubu’s giant strides and the need for him to re-elected for a second term to consolidate on his achievements.

“We thank God for giving us a father at this very material time in the life of this country. A sincere father that is leading from the front most sincerely. We continue to appreciate Mr. President for all that he’s doing for us as a country, as a people most especially my own constituency, the young and the youth that comprise of men and women.

“In the history of this country, no government has ever given the youth a space as much as Mr President has done right now, of which I am a beneficiary as we speak.

“I want to assure you that even as we speak, we have a donation above N100 million that we have reserved just in case there is an increase to the amount already donated,” he stated.
