Kaduna Govt Appoints Chiefs For Dnata, Gwandu Chiefdoms

Kaduna State government has said in furtherance of its reform of traditional institutions it has established Dnata chiefdom in Kagarko and Arak chiefdom in Sanga local government areas.

In a statement issued by Special Adviser to  Governor Nasir El-Rufai on media and communication, Muyiwa Adekeye explained that Dnata chiefdom was created from the Jere emirate, while Arak chiefdom was restructured from Gwantu chiefdom.

According to the statement, Mr. Bitrus James is appointed as pioneer chief of Dnata and Alhaji Balarabe Abdullahi Karma is appointed as chief of Gwantu.

The statement added:”Following the creation of Arak chiefdom from  Gwantu chiefdom, the former Chief of Gwantu, His Highness Brig. Gen. Iliya Aliyu Yamma was appointed as Chief of Arak. The appointments take immediate effect.”
