Kalu Tasks Abia APC Stakeholders On Unity, Tinubu’s Re-election

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has urged the stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State to stay united and work together to achieve victory for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

Kalu who made the appeal while appraising the conduct of the rescheduled APC’s ward Congresses ahead of the Local Government Congresses on Thursday in Umuahia, the State capital, emphasised that unity is key to winning the elections.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu,  the deputy speaker charged all party faithful to cooperate with the Congress Committee headed by the former Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly and former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Emmanuel Go’ar.

He said: “Cooperate with committee members. There’s nothing like peace. Let’s stay united and achieve our goal. The President is watching and he is happy with what we are doing”.

Giving his appraisal of the exercise, the Chairman of the Congress Committee, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Go’ar commended the Deputy Speaker and the stakeholders for their outstanding efforts to ensure a successful exercise.

He said: “Your Excellency, the Deputy Speaker House of Representatives, our very, very respected stakeholders of Abia State, my committee members, members of the press, Your Excellency, even if I don’t say anything, those that are media friendly would have read all the headlines of what is happening in Abia. It’s all over the media, both print and electronic, very, very positive headlines.

“So, what we have done is fantastic. We want the record to continue. Thank God Your Excellency has also received commendation from top. We don’t want anything to tamper with that commendation.

“You made our work very simple. You are the people that I’m referring to as the ground handlers of our assignment here in Abia State. I want to commend you and also commend the Deputy Speaker for your efforts.

“So, we want to thank God for everything. We are on track and by the special grace of God, we will succeed. A very solid foundation has been laid. When you get the foundation right, it’s just to build on it. That was why we were emphasising on the foundation which is the ward congresses. We’ve gotten that one right”, he said.
