Mwanaka Media and Publishing, Zimbabwe, has called for contributions of literary and visual arts works by African and Western European writers and artistes for its new anthology.
Titled ‘Geopolitics and Multi-polar World Order: An African and West European Writers and Artists Volume 1’, the publication seeks literary and visual art works that address a global hot topic – geographical politics and the multiple polarising power tussles ongoing in Europe and Africa.
Areas of topical interest include, but are not limited to:
The importance of Africa’s rare earth minerals and Europe’s technology and capital towards unlocking of green energies to transition to a zero emissions world; Sanctity and respect of international law and multilateral institutions like UN, ICC, World Trade Organization, that help create a level playing field between the rich and poor countries; Towards fair and just system of trading between African and European countries; Avoiding destabilization of African countries to stem off the refugee and migration crises, and the resulting xenophobia in Europe towards multipolar world order among others.
Poems, plays, stories, reviews, songs, scholarly papers, mixed genres, and artworks eligible for publication must investigate and offer insights into geopolitics and the multipolar world order, and how these two continents (Africa and Western Europe) are adapting and situating themselves within these matrices.
Poetry and song submissions should be no more than one to five per poet; prose and plays no more than 10,000 words, one piece per writer; and four visual artworks per artiste.
Submission closes April 15, 2026.
