Simeone Demands More Defensive Work From Lookman At Atlético Madrid

Atlético Madrid’s head coach, Diego Simeone, has reiterated his demand for Ademola Lookman to improve the defensive aspect of his game. Lookman, who joined the La Liga giants from Atalanta earlier this month, has made an impressive start, scoring four goals and providing three assists in seven appearances across all competitions.

Despite the 28-year-old Nigeria international’s strong attacking output, Simeone insists he must contribute more to the team’s defensive efforts.

“Ademola Lookman arrived with great enthusiasm and a desire to keep growing.

“We need him to add defensive work to what he already gives us offensively, because he has that ability,” Simeone stated in a press conference ahead of Atlético’s league fixture against Real Oviedo.
