Foremost Nigerian security and technology firm, Advonics Security Nigeria Limited (ASNL), is set to join the global league of Commonwealth-backed enterprises, following a strategic partnership invitation from the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), weekend.

The proposed collaboration, described as a defining milestone for the Nigerian firm, followed a high-level working visit to the company’s headquarters by CWEIC Chief Executive, Samantha Cohen, alongside the Council’s Nigeria Country Director, Obinna Anyanwu.

ASNL’s formal invitation followed the CWEIC leadership’s description of a rigorous, exhaustive vetting process designed to ensure alignment with the Commonwealth’s economic and governance standards.

When finalised, the partnership is expected to position ASNL among a select network of globally recognised enterprises driving strategic cooperation, economic integration and security innovation across the Commonwealth bloc.

Addressing the management of ASNL during the visit, Cohen noted that the Council does not extend partnership invitations without comprehensive validation of corporate governance, operational integrity and strategic alignment.

“We do not extend these invitations lightly. ASNL has demonstrated the leadership, innovation and integrity required to thrive within the Commonwealth’s $13 trillion economic ecosystem,” she stated.

As a Strategic Partner, ASNL is expected to gain direct access to high-level diplomatic and commercial platforms across the 56 Commonwealth member nations.

The partnership framework offers opportunities to engage with heads of government, senior ministers, and global business leaders.

It also positions the company within ongoing conversations around security architecture, defence innovation and cross-border investment.

Beyond diplomatic access, the partnership is also expected to enhance ASNL’s brand positioning within international business circles, opening pathways to structured trade missions, investors’ forums and sector-specific policy dialogues.

During the engagement, Cohen disclosed that CWEIC was collaborating with the Lagos State Government to host what was projected to be the largest Commonwealth Investors’ Summit in June 2026.

The summit, she hinted, is anticipated to attract policymakers, institutional investors and multinational corporations from across the Commonwealth bloc, providing a strategic showcase platform for emerging African enterprises, including ASNL.

Responding to the development, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ASNL, Mr. Emmanuel Egboh, expressed appreciation for the recognition.

“We are deeply honoured by CWEIC’s recognition of our work. This invitation is a testament to our team’s dedication to excellence.

“Joining CWEIC as a Strategic Partner aligns perfectly with our vision to scale ASNL’s impact globally while contributing significantly to the security and defence architecture of the Commonwealth and bolstering Nigeria’s economic prominence,” he said.

ASNL operates in the security, defence and technology sectors, focusing on innovation-driven solutions and ethical corporate leadership.

CWEIC, on its part, is a commercial, not-for-profit membership organisation mandated by Commonwealth Heads of Government to facilitate trade and investment across member countries.

Already, CWEIC is scheduled to convene two landmark occasions, first in London in April and in November in Antigua and Barbuda, to be held in the presence of Commonwealth Heads of Government and His Majesty, King Charles, of which ASNL has indicated interest to partake in.
