Taraba Achieves Full Integration, Ranks High In APC E-Registration

Available records at the national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), showed that, Taraba State ranked among the highest-performing states in the APC electronic membership registration and revalidation exercise in the country.

This development, according to party leaders, underscores its full integration and firm establishment as an APC-controlled state, and is sure of delivery the party in 2027.

Addressing newsmen in Jalingo, the outgoing chairman of the State Working Committee (SWC) of APC in Taraba State, Barr. Ibrahim El-Suldi, said the successes recorded was as a result of the growing unity and consolidation within the party and among its members.

The state APC chairman, however endorsed Governor Agbu Kefas, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 governorship and presidential polls.

Barr. El-Suldi, said the endorsements were informed by the quality of leadership demonstrated by both Governor Kefas and President Tinubu.

He noted that since Governor Kefas joined the APC, the party had worked closely with him to consolidate on the successful political realignment in the state.

“The governor not only embraced the leadership of the party but also ensured that our transition into the ruling party was smooth, peaceful and devoid of rancour, contrary to experiences in some other states. This demonstrates his leadership, maturity and statesmanship.

“The party wish to state and formerly endorse Governor Agbu Kefas is the party’s preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election and President Tinubu as its standard-bearer in the 2027 presidential race.”

According to him, the prevailing atmosphere of unity and cooperation enabled the party to conduct congresses across all 168 wards and 16 local government areas with minimal challenges.

He recalled that the process followed a historic rally organised to formally receive Governor Kefas into the APC, an event attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the party’s national chairman, members of the National Working Committee and more than 10 serving governors.

El-Suldi further disclosed that the party’s electronic membership registration and revalidation exercise was successfully carried out with the support of the governor, adding that Taraba emerged as one of the top-performing states nationwide.

“The membership registration has continues to record steady growth across wards and local governments in the state.”

The APC chairman commended Governor Kefas for ensuring that party congresses were conducted in a free, fair and inclusive manner, with due respect for ward and local government stakeholders.

He described the approach as one that has strengthened internal democracy and party cohesion.

“With these milestones, we can confidently say that Taraba State is now fully integrated and firmly established as an APC state,” he stated.

He, therefore, expressed appreciation to the governor for his receptive, patriotic, hardworking and leadership style, as his commitment to the development of Taraba State remains unwavering.
