Iran Is A Threat To Peace, We Must Destroy Its Terror Organs – Israeli Ambassador

The Ambassador of the State of Israel to Nigeria , Michael Freeman has described the Iranian theocratic regime as a threat to peace in the Middle East and the sponsor of terrorism in many parts of the world, stressing that the ongoing US and Israeli military assault on the regime  was to destroy its terror organ.

The military campaign, which started on Saturday by the US and Israel, killed Iran’s Supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and nearly 50 of his top officials and as of Wednesday  March 4, 2026, over 1000 people have been killed in Iran.

The Israeli government announced on Tuesday that about 10 Israeli citizens have died from Iran’s retaliatory missile attacks , while the United States said it has lost 6 soldiers in the ongoing conflict, in which Israel and the US aim to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons  and destroying their capability to build intercontinental Ballistic Missiles(ICBMs).

The Israeli envoy told our Correspondent in a virtual meeting on Wednesday that the behavior of the Iranian regime of firing missiles at countries that did not even attack them is proof of what they will do if they are allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

He described the Iranian government as “an extremist terrorist regime and sponsors of terrorism across the world including Nigeria,” adding that the world has seen how they are indiscriminately attacking other countries in the region.

“Imagine if Iran has nuclear weapons, the threat they will pose to the rest of the world. They are the greatest cause of instability and we acted to make sure they don’t have nuclear weapons.  For 47 years, the Iranian regime has chanted “death to Israel, death to American” and they have threatened to destroy us. That is why we cannot allow them to develop the means to do so,” he said.

On why Israel and the US attacked a sovereign Iran even when negotiations were going on, Freeman said the regime was not committed to negotiations but were only using it to buy time to continue their nuclear programme.

He condemned the Mullahs of Iran calling them “Tyrants Tehran” for allegedly massacring 30,000 of its citizens, who protested for a better living conditions, adding that the war was also to help the beleaguered citizens to take the destiny of their country into their own hands and decide its future,

Reacting to pressures from the international community to end the war and the concomitant death and destruction, the envoy noted that the war will end when Israel and US have “destroyed the terror organ of Iran, their nuclear capability and destroyed the Republican Guard.”
