Ahead of the January 16, 2027 presidential election, youths across party lines have appealed to Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu to consolidate the impactful economic and structural reforms initiated his administration.
The youths under the auspices of Renewed Hope Agenda Continuity Marshals (REHACMA) stressed the need for continuity and stability for Nigerians to drive the full benefits of the reforms introduced by the president.
Speaking at a media interaction, National Coordinator of REHACMA Osawemwenhio Uwagboe declared that Nigeria will continue to progress and prosper under the leadership of President Tinubu.
He said, “today we stand here not just as members of one political party, but as young Nigerians from different political backgrounds who believe in one thing: Nigeria must move forward.
“Across the country, young people are watching closely. We are observing leadership. We are observing courage. We are observing responsibility. And many of us have come to one clear conclusion: Nigeria needs stability in leadership and continuity of progressive reforms. That is why REHACMA was formed.
“REHACMA is not just a campaign organization. It is a movement of responsible young Nigerians who believe that governance should be supported when it is moving the nation forward. For us in REHACMA, when it comes to the future of Nigeria, politics should not blind us to leadership that is working.
“We believe that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu represents the experience, courage, and political capacity required to guide Nigeria through difficult reforms and long-term transformation. We believe that progress is the only option, and we are committed to working towards it.
“One unique thing about this movement is that our members come from different political backgrounds, but we are united by one common belief: Nigeria will progress and prosper under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
Also speaking, the National Youth Leader of REHACMA, Yusuf Ishaya, said the country was progressing under President Tinubu’s leadership and called on youths across the country to team up in support of the President.
“I have been a member of ADC, and I have decided to align myself with the APC because I have seen progress. He who sees progress should not sit by the side and wait to be told that it is progress.
“You know progress when you see it. So my advice to others is that they should come and align themselves, support President Tinubu, because it is the best thing for Nigeria to move the country forward,” he said.
For her part, Women Leader of REHACMA, Fatima Lamisula, stressed that four years were not sufficient to take the country out of its longstanding challenges, adding that given the visible progress so far, President Tinubu should be granted more time to consolidate his efforts.
“I also believe that the reward for good work is more work.
Nigeria has been in troubled waters for a very long time. I do not think we can fix this in just four years.
“Since someone is here trying to fix it for us, and we have seen visible changes in the three years he has been in power, I believe we should give President Tinubu another chance for continuity so he can finish what he has started,” Lamisula stated.
Similarly, the REHACMA North Central Coordinator, Jerry Gwom noted that Tinubu’s reforms were beginning to produce tangible and noticeable outcomes, hence the need for continuity.
“Well, for the government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we can clearly see the progress this administration has made. First, by floating the dollar. Previously, we used to have selective overnight billionaires who simply went to the Central Bank and had access to dollars. But today, the dollar has been floated. Anybody can go to the bank and access dollars.
“We also talk about fuel subsidy, which was a system built to enrich particular Nigerians. Today, the market is open. Anybody can venture into that business and flourish. We can also see inclusiveness in this government.
“In the North Central, we have been clamoring over marginalization. Many governments have come and gone. But in this government of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as a youth, I feel carried along. From my region, the North Central, I also feel that we are included in this administration,” he added.
