Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE), Kaduna State Chapter, has trained engineers in modern building innovations and advanced construction techniques.
NICE said the initiative was designed to expose the members to new building technologies and innovative engineering practices to shape the construction industry.
The training, which brought together graduate and undergraduate students, young professionals, and practicing civil and structural engineers, focused on enhancing professional competence and promoting safe, resilient structures across the region.
Speaking during the training for participants in the North West zone held in Kaduna, the National Chairman of NICE, Dr. Tokunbo Ajanaku , said the continuous professional development remains critical in strengthening the capacity of engineers and ensuring that structures meet global standards.
The President of the institution, who was represented by the National Vice Chairman of NICE, Engr. Usman Mohammed Falalu, commended the National Chairman for his proactive leadership and commitment to introducing reforms that uplift the profession.
Ajanaku noted that the training would boost the morale of graduating and undergraduate students by equipping them with practical skills and contemporary knowledge in structural engineering.
