Stakeholders in Kaduna State have called for stronger implementation of youth development policies to tackle rising unemployment and deepen youth inclusion in governance and decision-making processes.

The call was made during the Kaduna State Youth Policy Dialogue Workshop themed, “Strengthening Youth Policy Development, Review and Implementation,” organised by Bridge Connect Africa Initiative (BCAI) in partnership with the Kaduna State Ministry of Youth Development.

At the event, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Youth Development, Barr. Gloria Ibrahim, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to expanding opportunities for young people through policies that promote empowerment, innovation and inclusive participation.

She noted that the State government remains focused on strengthening digital literacy among young people and creating enabling platforms that will allow them to contribute meaningfully to development.

According to her, Kaduna State is determined to translate the energy and potential of its youthful population into measurable outcomes that will drive socio-economic progress.

Also, the special assistant to Governor Uba Sani on Youths and Sports, Said Idris, described the policy dialogue as timely, noting that youths remain the backbone of every society and must be actively involved in governance and development processes.
