The Labour Party has urged supporters to disregard attempts by former members to create confusion over an INEC letter regarding Interim State Working Committees.
In a statement released yesterday, the party’s spokesman, Ken Eluma Asogwa, said it had addressed INEC’s concerns and was moving forward with its activities.
“Disgruntled and politically irrelevant former members peddling beer-parlour gossips have failed as the matter has been resolved with INEC,” he said.
The party advised members to continue with the current membership revalidation and registration exercises.
Supporters were also encouraged to prepare for party congresses and a national convention in March and April.
“The Labour Party under Senator Nenadi Usman remains focused and undeterred,” he added
Asogwa reassured party members that the leadership as on track despite critics’ antics.
