Optiva Capital Partners has joined the global community in celebrating International Women’s Day, reaffirming its commitment to empowering women and promoting inclusive leadership across its organisation.
The firm paid tribute to women whose leadership, resilience and excellence continue to shape its operations and contribute to the growth of the business community and society.
Chairman of the firm, Franklin Nechi, disclosed that women constitute about 70 per cent of the company’s workforce, describing their contributions as central to the organisation’s success.
“With women making up 70 per cent of our workforce, we are proud to say that our success is deeply rooted in the talent, dedication and passion of our female colleagues,” he said.
Nechi noted that women occupy key positions across the organisation, including executive leadership, client advisory, operations, compliance, marketing and relationship management.
“Women are not just participants in our journey; they are drivers of it. From boardroom strategy to client engagement, the Optiva story is inseparable from the strength and excellence of our women,” he added.
The firm also recognised the contributions of its Executive Director of Business Development, Amaka Okeke, whose more than a decade of service was described as a reflection of the company’s commitment to merit, professionalism and inclusive leadership.
Optiva Capital reiterated its commitment to policies that support professional development, mentorship, work-life balance and equal opportunities for women within the organisation.
Speaking on the significance of the celebration, Okeke said empowering women is both a moral responsibility and a strategic necessity for sustainable development.
“When women are empowered, families become stronger, businesses perform better and societies grow more resilient. At Optiva, we see this impact every day through the contributions women make within our organisation and in the communities we serve,” she said.
The firm added that it will continue to promote an environment where women can thrive, lead and contribute to lasting social and economic development.
