The visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen operational effectiveness in the fight against insurgency in the country. He urged the troops to remain combat- and engineer-ready and to maintain the highest standards of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Major General Shafaru commended the troops for their resilience, professionalism, and dedication, particularly in the ongoing fight against insurgency in the North East region.

He was briefed by the Acting Engineer Brigade Commander, Colonel Salihu Ibrahim. During the visit, he emphasized the importance of maintaining combat and engineer readiness while providing professional support to the Special Forces Command in both operational and administrative activities.
