Yoruba actor and film producer Rotimi Salami has responded to a troll who lambasted him for using his late friend and colleague, Allwell Ademola, to promote his new Cinema movie, Kilanko: The Invisible Child, directed by Allwell Ademola before her death.
Salami has been promoting the movie for cinemas with photos of the late Allwell Ademola.
Lambasting him, the online troll asked whether he was using the late actress to boost sales of his film, and he reprimanded him to let the actress rest in peace.
“I don’t know why you are using this lady to sell film? Please, let her rest peacefully”, the online user posted.
In his response, Salami pointed out that some people make such ignorant comments. He advised the troll to keep quiet and not promote the works of their late loved ones.
“Some people comment with so much ignorance. If e reach your turn, keep inside cupboard or hide the hard work of your late loved ones”.
Allwell had died on December 27th following a heart attack at her home. Allwell’s colleagues then confirmed the tragic news through their respective social media platforms.
A Service of Songs and Candlelight service was held for the late actress on Thursday, January 8th, and she was finally buried on Friday, January 9th.
The actor recently spoke on Oyinmomo TV, noting that he believes the actress’s passing was simply her time. He also opened up on how badly her death had affected him.
The film producer also recently lamented the poor sales of Kilanko and urged fans to watch it so it can remain in cinemas.
Further stating that the movie may be removed from the platform if it doesn’t do well.
Kilanko is a movie that explores themes of the Abiku child, sickle cell disease, and the sacrifices of motherhood.
