At Last, Emir Of Kagara Gets Staff Of Office

Niger State governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello is to present staff of office and formally install the Emir of  Kagara Alhaji Ahmad Garba Gunna, Attahiru II next weekend.

The Emir was appointed after the demise of Alhaji Salihu Tanko last year.

Until his appointment , the Emir was the acting chairman of the State Internal Revenue Service.

A statement from the organizing committee yesterday stated that the Emirate bedevilled with several security challenges gives the glory to Allah and dedicated prayers of the people as  peace gradually  return to Kagara kingdom and indeed Niger state and Nigeria.

The statement “your prayers are highly appreciated always and would crave that you don’t rest on your oars in prayers as the installation takes place in Kagara.”

The committee added that  “It is on this happy development that, the Kagara Emirate council and the organizing committee of the installation ceremony of His Royal Highness the Emir of Kagara  Alhaji Ahmad Garba Gunna, Attahiru II wish to inform the general public and indeed the people of Kagara Emirate that our beloved Royal father would officially be installed and presented his staff of office insha Allah next Saturday”

The statement disclosed that the special guest of honour will be the Governor of Niger State, Alhaji  Abubakar Sani Bello; Royal father of  the day would be His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto  Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar and the Chief host will be  Etsu Nupe and chairman Niger state council of traditional rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar.

LEADERSHIP reports that the security challenges facing the area has contributed to the delay in the official installation of the Emir one of the eight first class traditional rulers in the state appointed over a year ago.
