Development: Imam Of Offa Advocate Equity, Fairness, Justice

Nigerians, especially political office holders, have been charged to be committed to equity, fairness, and justice in the task of achieving sustainable development.

The chief Imam of Off , Sheikh Muhydeen Salman, gave the charge while speaking on the topic ‘Exploring the Islamic Model for Unity, Equity, and Fairness in Nation Building’ at the 2026  Ramadan lecture organised by friends and associates of the speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly,Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, in Ilorin, the state capital.

Quoting from the Qur’an and Hadith, Sheikh Salman explained that the question of equity, fairness, and justice is non-negotiable, stressing that it is compulsory to obey the instructions of the Almighty in order to have felicity in this world and on the day of accountability.

Commenting on the leadership qualities of the honoree, Imam Salman noted that the atmosphere and the number of dignitaries present at the event showed that  Danladi- Salihu is a leader who has led with fairness and inclusivity.

He has solved many problems, and he has always done things with fairness and equity,” Salman added.

Leading a special prayer for  Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq , and his government, the Imam Imale of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh AbdulHameed Abdullahi, commended the governor for his massive and unprecedented developmental projects across the state and prayed for the success of his administration.

He also prayed for Danladi-Salihu, whose friends and associates are rooting for to emerge as first democratically elected Governor of Kwara State from Kwara north since the return of democracy in 1999, come 2027.

The chief Imam of Shao, Barr.  Adam Jamiu, offered a special prayer for the late parents of the speaker, praying that Allah would continue to shower His blessings on their souls and rest them in Aljanat Firdaus.
