Adamawa 2027: NPC Makes Case For Young Leadership, Seeks Gov Fintri’s Support

An advocacy group, National Progressive Coalition (NPC) has urged the people of Adamawa State to embrace a young and dynamic leadership in 2027, adding that it was time the state gravitated towards a more entrepreneurial minded leadership.

NPC also urged the Adamawa State governor, Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintri, to support the emergence of a young politician as his successor.

The group this while throwing its weight behind the governorship ambition of Abdulrahman Bashir Haske, an All Progressives Congress Congress (APC) and businessman from the state.

The founder of NPC, Engr. Awwal Hayatu Wakili, stressed that the next political dispensation of Adamawa State should be focused on expanding its economic base beyond the North East to Nigeria.

He, however, said Haske embodies the attributes to ensure the state achieves that goal in these changing times.

Wakili further noted that while the current administration has done well for the state, it was evident that Adamawa has to make the much-needed reasonable shift towards unleashing its full economic potential.

“Who better to take Adamawa from its enormous economic potential to a dispensation of economic realities than Haske, a young, vibrant, dynamic and proven entrepreneur, who has shown grit and heart in the larger Nigerian economic space,” the convener said.

He said the young politician is a representation of what the state is capable of achieving, adding that Haske represents the much-needed face of governmental entrepreneurship in the North.

“He has a proven record as a business man of repute which puts him in a good stead to manage a state as big as Adamawa. His vibrancy in a changing socio-economic climate will help move the state in the direction of increased prosperity for our women and youths, ensuring job opportunities and boosting security accordingly.

“We have no doubt in our minds that he can make the difference Adamawa needs in these changing times. He will build on the legacies of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the incumbent APC administration at the federal and state levels to ensure the much-desired innovative governance that will show Adamawa to the world,” Wakili added.
